LinkedIn and video for manufacturers

Your plant does not need more followers. It needs the twelve people who specify your machine to see it running before they open the tender. In industry, social is a distribution channel for proof, not a popularity contest.

A 30-minute video call. The audit document and the 90-day plan.

Heavy machinery plant at night: a steel press and the rail of an overhead crane lit by hard work light, with the hall dark around them.

The company page posts twice a year and both times it is a trade fair stand.

Meanwhile the sales director has a personal network full of exactly the right buyers and posts nothing, because nobody has told them what to say. The plant produces the best content in the sector every single day — a part coming off the machine, an install going live — and none of it ever leaves the shop floor.

Social

3 posts a week on the company page

Applications, machined parts, capacity, lead times and standards. Written for a buyer, not for a feed.

The sales director profile, run properly

The account that actually reaches whoever writes the specification. Same cadence, personal voice, drafted and scheduled by us.

Short-form plant and product video

Scripting, shot list and design included. What the machine does, filmed where it does it.

A route from post to RFQ

Every post has a next step: a technical page, a spec sheet or the quote form. No dead ends.

Reporting without vanity

RFQs attributed to social and which content produced them. Likes are not on the report.

How it runs

  1. 01

01 · Shooting day at the plant

One visit produces a quarter of raw material: machines running, parts, welds, assembly and the people who know why it matters.

  2. 02

    02 · A message per product family

Each family gets its own angle and its own proof, so the feed is not the same post with a different photo.

  3. 03

03 · Weekly calendar, two accounts

Company and sales director, three posts a week each, drafted, approved and scheduled ahead.

  4. 04

04 · Read the RFQs, not the reach

Monthly review of which posts sent someone to a technical page and which of those ended in a request to quote.

What changes

  • Whoever writes the specification has seen the machine running before the tender opens.

  • The sales director stops being invisible in the network where the buyers are.

  • The plant has a quarter of material out of a single shooting day.

  • Social shows up on the dashboard as RFQs, next to organic.

Questions

Does LinkedIn sell capital equipment?

It does not close the order; it puts the plant in front of the person who writes the specification, months before the RFQ. That is what we measure it on.

Our sales director has no time to post.

They do not need it. We draft, they approve in a couple of minutes a week, we schedule. The voice stays theirs.

Can we film inside the plant with confidentiality agreements in place?

Yes, with a shot list agreed beforehand. The framing avoids customer parts and anything under NDA, and everything is reviewed before it goes out.

What about TikTok or Instagram?

Only where your buyer is, and in most industrial families that is LinkedIn plus short video reused elsewhere. We do not open channels in order to fill them.

What goes on the report?

RFQs from social and the content that produced them. Never likes.
